I have been studying herbalism for over 30 years. I worked for 7
years with a mail order herbal company in CA in the 1990's; when
that company closed I decided that someday I would have my own company
utilizing my herbal background. When I moved to WA in 2004 I knew
that I wanted to start that business now. In the past I have been
chairperson for the Relay for Life event in Sebastopol, CA where
we raised $57,000 for the American Cancer Society; up from the $19,000
they had raised the previous year. I volunteered in the market office
and at market last year and am looking forward to an even more exciting
season this year. |

RN,

I
have been married 56 years to my high school sweetheart, Blayne.
We have 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 7+1 coming in April great-grandchildren.
Blayne and I moved to Walla Walla 11 years ago. We became a part
of the market the year it started. Blayne was born and raised
on a farm in Iowa and has always done something with growing.
He now has 3 small greenhouses and enjoys raising bedding plants
to sell and for his garden.
When
I was 8 years old we had a polio epidemic in Iowa. My Mother shipped
me back to my Aunt in New York State. She didn't know what to
do with an 8 year old so she taught me to knit and crochet. These
are skills that I have used and enjoyed for the rest of my life.
